Monaco has no airport. It has a heliport, and for a territory of 2 km² it is remarkably busy. The Héliport de Monaco is on avenue des Ligures at the south-western tip of Fontvieille, on land reclaimed from the sea beside the Stade Louis II. It opened in 1976 with the support of Prince Rainier III, and it is operated by the State through the Direction de l'Aviation Civile.

- The Nice shuttle, the heliport's only scheduled route, with departures every 30 minutes by day.

There are no night flights, and arrivals and departures are routed over the sea to limit noise over the city. The codes you will see on tickets and flight-tracking sites are MCM (IATA) and LNMC (ICAO).

Monacair, Blade and Héli Sécurité operate together as the "BHSM Alliance", pooling aircraft and flights. That is why the name on your booking is not always the name on the helicopter.
Getting there
- Bus: CAM line 6 (Fontvieille – Larvotto) stops at "Héliport". A ticket costs €1.50 by contactless card or €2 on board.
- Taxi: about 10 minutes from Casino Square outside rush hour.
- With your flight: Monacair's shuttle fare includes an electric van from your address in Monaco, so shuttle passengers rarely need to get there themselves.
- On foot: about 10 minutes from the Fontvieille shopping centre, along the port.
Good to know
- Operators ask for an original identity document at check-in, even though there is no border control between Monaco and France.
- Allow about 15 minutes before a scenic flight, and follow your operator's instructions for the shuttle.
- During the Grand Prix, traffic around Fontvieille is heavily restricted. Book early and check with the operator how you will reach the terminal.
