The Nice shuttle sells single seats on one route. Everything else that takes off from the Monaco Heliport is a charter: you hire the whole helicopter for your group, choose the time, and fly to anywhere with a landing site. How charter pricing works
- You pay per helicopter, whether you fill one seat or all of them. Most Riviera helicopters carry five or six passengers.
- "From" prices are for a one-way flight in a standard aircraft. A twin-engine machine costs more. So do waiting time on the ground and an empty return leg, which is often built into one-way prices to distant bases.
- Luggage is the real limit. Hold space is small, so list your bags when you ask for a quote.
- Peak dates cost more and sell out. The Grand Prix, the Cannes Film Festival, the Yacht Show and February half-term in the Alps are the busiest.

Tips before you book
- Ask what is included. Check whether the quote covers landing fees, a car at each end and waiting time.
- Ask about weather. Mountain flights in winter are the most often postponed. Agree in advance what happens if the helicopter cannot fly.
- Carry original ID. Operators check it at boarding, and flights to Switzerland or Sardinia still need it at the other end.
- Travelling for an event? Operators publish event packages each year, for the Grand Prix, the Yacht Show, Luxe Pack and others, sometimes with shared seats at a discount. Check their "events" pages a few weeks ahead.
