Supermarkets in Monaco: the complete list with addresses and hours

How to use this list

This page is the directory: every food store of any size in the Principality, grouped by district, with the address, phone number and the opening hours we could confirm from the operator or the shopping centre that hosts it. Where hours are marked check locally, the store publishes none on an official page and we would rather say so than guess.

Fontvieille

The only hypermarket in Monaco and the largest food store by a wide margin. Ground floor: all fresh departments (produce, bakery, butcher, fishmonger, deli), groceries, drinks and household goods; upstairs: electronics, appliances and textiles. The centre's 580-space covered car park is a Monaco Parkings facility (first hour free); bus lines 3, 4 and 6 stop outside. A parcel-relay point sits at the store entrance and there is a cash machine on level 0. Directory entry: Carrefour Monaco. Hours are those published by the Fontvieille Shopping Centre.

La Condamine

Carrefour Market is the full supermarket of the port district — a proper fresh-food store, not a convenience format — and the one you will use if you live around Port Hercule or the Place d'Armes: Carrefour Market. The Spar on the square and Côté Bio a street behind it fill the gaps. The market itself is covered in the Condamine Market guide; remember its hall interior is closed for works until early 2027 and the traders, including the organic grocer Solis Bio, are working from the temporary village on the square.

Monte-Carlo

Marché U on boulevard Princesse Charlotte is the everyday supermarket of the upper town, a few minutes from the Casino square; hours are those published on marche-u.mc. The Spar in the Métropole is the closest food store to the Casino and the grand hotels, on the ground floor of the Métropole Shopping Centre — but it is closed on Sunday, whatever older listings say. The Marché de Monte-Carlo on avenue Saint-Charles, open since 2003, is the district's food market; its shops stay open until 7pm, later than the Condamine.

Larvotto, Saint-Roman and La Rousse

The Marché U at 7 boulevard d'Italie is Système U's flagship in Monaco: a bakery, butcher, fishmonger, fresh-pasta counter, wine cellar and traiteur, an Italian grocery range branded Il Bel Paese, a free customer car park ("Park & Shop"), the Principality's only supermarket Drive (order on coursesu.com, collect at the store) and the group's home-delivery service — you pick a delivery slot, leave your trolley at the store and pay when it arrives. The Casino Shop further along the same boulevard, the Petit Casino on the lacets Saint-Léon and the Carrefour City on rue des Genêts are convenience formats for the residential blocks between the Larvotto beach and the Beausoleil border.

Moneghetti and the Jardin Exotique

The only supermarket on the western hillside, serving the Moneghetti and Jardin Exotique blocks, and one of the few Monaco stores to open on Sunday morning.

Not in Monaco — and where the nearest one is

• Picard (frozen food): no Monaco store. The nearest is on rue du Marché in Beausoleil, a few minutes' walk from the Marché de Monte-Carlo (+33 4 93 78 74 62; Sunday 9am–12.45pm).
• Monoprix, Lidl, Aldi, Leclerc, Auchan: no store in the Principality. The nearest branches are in the neighbouring French communes of Beausoleil, Cap-d'Ail, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Menton.
• Carrefour Drive: Carrefour's drive-through pick-up is in the French towns along the coast, not in Monaco — the only supermarket Drive in the Principality is Marché U's.
