Monaco is one of the most connected places in the world. The Principality's Extended Monaco digital programme has delivered full fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and complete 5G mobile coverage across the entire 2 km² territory.

Free public WiFi

The government operates free WiFi Monaco hotspots in key public areas, including the Condamine Market area, Casino gardens, parts of the port and select government buildings. Connection is straightforward: select the network and accept the terms.

Many cafes, restaurants and hotels also offer complimentary WiFi for customers.

Mobile networks

Monaco Telecom is the sole telecommunications operator, providing 4G and 5G mobile services as well as fixed broadband. If you are visiting, check whether your home mobile provider includes Monaco in its roaming bundle. While Monaco sits geographically within the EU roaming zone, some operators classify it separately, which can result in higher charges.

Pre-paid Monaco Telecom SIM cards are available for visitors needing reliable local coverage.

Home and office broadband
