How the season works
Monaco's pools open in two waves. The hotel pool clubs start with the social calendar in early April, whatever the water temperature, because they are heated and because the Easter and Grand Prix crowds are the point. The municipal open-air pool waits for May. Everything outdoors winds down in the first half of October, after which the Principality is left with its indoor pools — which are better than most visitors expect.

The pool clubs, briefly
- Nikki Beach Monte-Carlo — the rooftop pool club at the Fairmont: loungers, restaurant, DJs and the pool that stays heated at 28 °C all year for hotel guests. Reserve directly with Nikki Beach.
- Monte-Carlo Beach — SBM's 1929 lido in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin with its Olympic-size heated seawater pool, day visitors admitted throughout the season; the Monte-Carlo Beach Club guide covers the beach, the Sea Lounge and the restaurants.
- Monte-Carlo Bay lagoon — the sand-bottomed lagoon at 40 avenue Princesse Grace, sold by the day (€160–€210 per adult in 2026) on same-day telephone reservation.
- Stade Nautique Rainier III — the municipal answer, and a genuinely good one: the directory listing has the phone number and the public pools guide has the full 2026 tariff and hours.
Swimming after the lidos close
From mid-October to April, four pools stay open:
- Centre Nautique Prince Albert II, Stade Louis II — indoor 50 m Olympic pool, €3.20, public lanes on weekday mornings and at weekends.
- Piscine Saint-Charles, Monte-Carlo — 18 m indoor pool heated to 28–32 °C, €5, with evening slots and Sunday mornings; renovated and reopened in January 2026.
- Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo — the indoor heated seawater pool between the Hôtel de Paris and the Hermitage, €160 for day access to the wellness area, 07:00–21:00.
- Fairmont rooftop — heated year-round, for hotel guests and spa clients once Nikki Beach has closed.
