Monaco Town Hall (Mairie)
Municipal administration managing civil registration, elections and community services

The Mairie de Monaco is the executive body of the Communal Council, governing the Principality's sole municipality. Located on Place de la Mairie in the historic Monaco-Ville district, it manages municipal affairs and local services for residents.
Who needs to go?
Both Monegasque and foreign residents interact with the Town Hall for civil registration matters: birth declarations, marriage preparations, family record books or death certificates. Monegasque nationals also register on the electoral rolls here. Families visit the Mairie for school enrolments in municipal schools.
Main services
The Town Hall manages civil registration, cemeteries, municipal markets, community social services, nurseries and cultural events. It also organises national celebrations and community events throughout the year.
Practical tips
For a wedding in Monaco, begin assembling your file at least two months in advance. Civil registration documents can be requested in person or by post. Note that the Mairie is distinct from the Princely Government: it handles municipal affairs while the Government manages state-level matters.
