Shopping in Monaco

From haute couture to fresh produce markets, Monaco offers a diverse shopping experience concentrated into a compact area. Whether you are looking for luxury fashion, everyday groceries or unique souvenirs, everything is within walking distance.

Carre d'Or (Golden Square)

The Carre d'Or is Monaco's premier luxury shopping district, centred around Casino de Monte-Carlo Square and the surrounding streets. Here you will find the flagships of the world's top fashion and jewellery houses, including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Hermes, Cartier, Bulgari and many more. The area also features luxury watchmakers and high-end car showrooms.

Window shopping in the Carre d'Or is an experience in itself, even if you are not buying.

Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo

Located beneath the Hotel Metropole on Avenue de la Madone, the Metropole Shopping Centre is an elegant indoor gallery with around 80 boutiques. The mix ranges from luxury labels (Prada, Fendi, Balenciaga) to more accessible brands and lifestyle shops. There is also a food hall and several restaurants.

Boulevard des Moulins

Running parallel to the Casino area, Boulevard des Moulins is Monte-Carlo's main commercial street. It offers a wider variety of shops than the Carre d'Or, including clothing, shoes, opticians, pharmacies and everyday services. It feels more like a traditional high street and is popular with residents.

La Condamine

The La Condamine neighbourhood around Rue Princesse Caroline and the market area is where locals shop for daily needs. You will find bakeries, butchers, cheese shops, clothing stores and small boutiques. It is more relaxed and affordable than Monte-Carlo.

Condamine Market

The Marche de la Condamine is open daily (mornings) and sells fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, meat, fish and local specialities. The first-floor food hall has stalls serving lunch. It is a great place to experience everyday Monaco life.

Fontvieille Shopping Centre

The Centre Commercial de Fontvieille is a practical shopping centre in the Fontvieille district with chain stores, a Carrefour supermarket, clothing shops and services. It serves mostly the resident community and is less tourist-oriented.
