Monaco operates a fully electric car-sharing service called Mobee, which forms part of the Principality's broader commitment to sustainable transport and clean mobility. The service allows residents and visitors to pick up an electric vehicle, drive around Monaco, and drop it off without needing a fixed return point.

Mobee: how it works

Mobee is Monaco's official 100% electric car-sharing service. It operates on a free-floating model, meaning vehicles can be picked up and dropped off anywhere within the authorised zone in Monaco. There are no fixed stations — you simply find a car near you, reserve it via the app, and drive away.

Getting started with Mobee

1. Download the Mobee app on your smartphone
2. Create an account and register your driving licence
3. Use the app to find the nearest available vehicle
4. Reserve the car (up to 15 minutes in advance)
5. Unlock it using the app and drive
6. Park anywhere within the authorised zone when finished — on-street parking and designated partner car parks are available at no extra charge

Billing is based on driving time only — there is no charge while the car is parked.

The Mobee fleet

The Mobee fleet consists of approximately 60 electric vehicles, including compact two-seater and five-seater models. All vehicles are 100% electric and can be recharged at any of the approximately 450 charging terminals available in Monaco's public car parks.

The compact size of the vehicles makes them well suited to Monaco's narrow streets and tight parking spaces. The electric motors provide quiet, emission-free driving throughout the Principality.

Practical tips

• Parking is free for Mobee vehicles on public streets and in partner car parks within Monaco
• Charging: if the battery is low, you can plug the car into any public charging terminal in Monaco — there is no extra cost for doing so
• Coverage: Mobee operates within the boundaries of Monaco only. Vehicles should not be taken outside the Principality
• Availability: the service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Driving licence: a valid driving licence is required to register and use the service
