Caisses Sociales de Monaco: the umbrella body administering Monaco's social security system, including health insurance, pensions, family benefits and workplace accident coverage.
The CCSS is the central administration for social protection in Monaco. It coordinates the various branches of social security: health insurance (managed by the CCSS), retirement pensions, family allowances and occupational injury cover. Both residents and cross-border commuters (pendulaires) working in Monaco are affiliated through their employer. Contributions are shared between employer and employee, with rates set by Monegasque law.
