Carte de sejour
Official document issued by the Surete Publique (Public Security) authorising a foreign national to reside in the Principality of Monaco.
The carte de sejour is the essential document for any foreign national wishing to establish residence in Monaco. It is issued by the Direction de la Surete Publique after verification of the required conditions: proof of accommodation, sufficient financial resources and a clean criminal record. The card must be renewed periodically, typically every one to three years depending on the applicant's situation.
