Monaco Grand Prix
The legendary Formula One race through the streets of Monaco, organised annually by the Automobile Club de Monaco

The Monaco Grand Prix is widely regarded as the crown jewel of the Formula One calendar and one of the most prestigious motor races in the world. Organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) since 1929, the race takes place on a street circuit winding through the districts of Monte-Carlo, La Condamine, and the port area.
The circuit covers 3.337 km and features iconic sections including Sainte-Dévote, the Casino climb, the Tunnel, the Harbour chicane, the Swimming Pool complex, and La Rascasse. Its narrow streets, elevation changes, and absence of run-off areas make it one of the most demanding tracks in motorsport. The 2026 race is run over 78 laps, with lights out scheduled for 15:00 local time on Sunday 7 June.
The event spans three days (Friday to Sunday), with free practice and qualifying preceding the Grand Prix on Sunday. Monaco transforms during race week — grandstands line the streets, superyachts fill Port Hercule, and the Principality hosts an intensive programme of social and hospitality events.
Transport during the event: many streets are closed to traffic in the weeks leading up to and during the Grand Prix. The train is the most reliable means of reaching Monaco. CAM bus routes are modified, and the heliport remains operational. Check the ACM and CAM websites for specific access arrangements.
