The International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo is the world's most prestigious circus festival, created in 1974 by Prince Rainier III. Held each year in January under the Chapiteau (big top) in Fontvieille, it brings together the finest circus artists from around the globe to compete for the coveted Clown d'Or (Golden Clown) award.

Now under the presidency of Princess Stéphanie, the festival showcases extraordinary performances across acrobatics, animal acts, clowning, aerial arts, and more. The event typically spans approximately 10 days with multiple performances.

The Chapiteau de Fontvieille is located in the Fontvieille district, accessible by bus (CAM) and on foot. Parking is available in nearby Fontvieille car parks.

Tickets are available through the official festival website. The festival is particularly popular with families and performances often sell out.
