Tip Top
Historic Monaco bar-restaurant founded in 1938, now serving artisanal pizzas and burgers under chef Antonio Salvatore until the early hours.
Overview
Tip Top is one of Monaco's most storied establishments, founded in 1938 by a circle of friends that included Prince Rainier III. Located on Avenue des Spelugues near the Hotel Metropole and Casino, it has served as a gathering place for nearly nine decades. Acquired by MC Hospitality Group in March 2024, the venue underwent a complete refurbishment and reopened under the culinary direction of chef Antonio Salvatore with a renewed focus on quality casual dining.
Food and Drink
The menu centres on homemade pizzas prepared with naturally fermented dough and stone-ground organic flour, artisanal burgers made with organic beef and AOC cheeses on house-baked buns, and fresh pasta dishes. The approach is straightforward quality — carefully sourced ingredients in unpretentious preparations. The bar programme complements the food with cocktails and a full drinks list suited to everything from a quick aperitif to a late-night gathering.
Late-Night Institution
Tip Top is one of the rare Monaco venues open well into the early morning, making it a natural destination after events, concerts, or club nights. The atmosphere is deliberately casual and welcoming — a counterpoint to the formality of many Monte-Carlo establishments. It draws a mixed crowd of residents, hotel guests, and nightlife veterans looking for solid food and drinks without pretension.
