The Stade Nautique Rainier III is Monaco's principal public swimming facility, set on the Quai Albert 1er alongside Port Hercules in the La Condamine district. The complex centres on an Olympic-size pool (50 m x 25 m) filled with filtered and heated seawater maintained at approximately 26°C, offering a unique open-air swimming experience with views of the harbour and the Rock.
Facilities
The complex features diving boards at 1, 3, 5, and 10 metres, a 45-metre water slide, a children's flume, a solarium terrace, and changing facilities with lockers. Spectator seating surrounds the main pool. The facility also hosts local swimming clubs and water polo training.
Season and Hours
The pool operates seasonally from early May to early October. During opening and closing months (May–June and September–October), hours typically run from 09:00 to 17:40, with early opening at 07:00 on Wednesdays. Peak summer hours (July–August) are extended. Practical Information
Entry fees are reduced for Monaco residents. The pool welcomes swimmers of all levels, from recreational visitors to competitive club members. No advance booking is required for public swimming sessions.
