Monte-Carlo Market

Overview

The Marché de Monte-Carlo is the smaller of Monaco's two municipal markets and the one most residents on the Monte-Carlo and Les Moulins side actually use. It has occupied its site on avenue Saint-Charles since 2003 and is run, like the Condamine market, by the Mairie de Monaco through its Service du Domaine Communal – Commerce, Halles et Marchés.

It is a working neighbourhood market rather than a visitor attraction: a row of permanent cabins around an open produce area, busy first thing in the morning and again at the end of the working day.

Opening hours

Open every day of the week, including Sunday, with hours set by trade:

• Cabins (shops and food counters): 07:00 – 19:00
• Sfizio Street and Bottega Renzini: until 20:30
• Greengrocers, growers and florists: 07:00 – 13:00

The 7pm closing time is the market's main practical advantage over the Condamine, which shuts at 15:30 — this is the one Monaco market you can reach after work.

What you will find

The Mairie's official trader list for this market includes fruit and vegetable sellers (both growers and resellers), the flower grower Romano Bertoni, the sandwich and prepared-food cabin Bottega Renzini (93 50 93 92), and Sfizio Street. Two Condamine traders also work here: the fresh pasta maker La Maison des Pâtes Cesano & Fils and the bakery-patisserie SAM Costa.

Free home delivery

The Mairie runs a free home-delivery service for market purchases, available every day except Sunday from 07:30 to 14:00, reserved for private individuals resident in the Principality. Monte-Carlo market deliveries: +377 93 25 46 45.
