Overview
Monte-Carlo Beach is a five-star seasonal hotel operated by SBM (Societe des Bains de Mer), the group behind Hotel de Paris, Hotel Hermitage, and Monte-Carlo Bay. Originally built in 1929, the property is a landmark of Art Deco design on the Riviera. Interior architect India Mahdavi led a comprehensive redesign in 2009, infusing the historic structure with bold color and contemporary style while respecting its architectural heritage.
Though technically located in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin just across the Monaco border, Monte-Carlo Beach functions as an integral part of Monaco's luxury hospitality landscape.
Rooms and Suites
The hotel offers just 40 rooms and suites, making it one of the most intimate luxury properties in the region. Each room reflects India Mahdavi's distinctive aesthetic, with vibrant colors, custom furnishings, and Mediterranean views. The limited room count ensures a quiet, exclusive atmosphere.
Dining
- Elsa: A landmark restaurant that became the first fully organic restaurant to earn a Michelin star (awarded 2014). Chef's Mediterranean cuisine uses exclusively organic, sustainably sourced ingredients. Reservations strongly recommended.

Beach and Pool
- Private beach: Direct access to a Mediterranean beach with loungers and attentive service
- Olympic-size pool: A heated seawater swimming pool, one of the largest on the Cote d'Azur
- La Vigie: Relaxation area and lounge space
Sustainability
Monte-Carlo Beach holds Green Globe certification, reflecting its commitment to environmental responsibility. The hotel's organic restaurant concept, sustainable sourcing, and environmental practices set it apart in the luxury segment.
