The Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation is the only institution in the world dedicated exclusively to the art, life, and creative process of Francis Bacon. Founded by Majid Boustany, the foundation is housed in Villa Elise, a Belle Époque villa built in 1897 on Boulevard d'Italie. Bacon himself lived and worked in Monaco from 1946 to the early 1950s, giving the location particular significance.
The collection comprises over 3,500 items including artworks, archival material, and a specialised library. Visits are by guided tour only (approximately 90 minutes), exploring Bacon's art, technique, and connection to Monaco.
